The following is by no-means meant to be all encompassing. The following are MRC specific MODIFICATIONS to stats that are preexisting. Note that the following should not be taken as canon. The following is an extrapolation and speculation from canon materials.

NORTHROM F-3000E Ghost

BACKGROUND

The F-3000e is the civilian and Colony Defense Force version of the QF-3000e Ghost Fighter. The prime difference between the two is that the AI computer and large sensor in the forward fuselage have been replaced with a standard fighter cockpit. The prime reason for this was that the UN deemed it to be too dangerous to sell the AI system to non-UN forces out of fear that the AI could fall into the wrong hands and be used to pilot some type of monstrous kamikaze device.

The F-3000E Ghost entered service from the 2030s onward and has seen considerable success amongst Colony Defense Forces seeking a low-cost alternative aerospace all environment interceptor. In the civilian market, the F-3000e is used for exploration and defense. Though the majority of civilian users find the use of missiles cost-prohibitive and tend not to use them against anything but the prime target of the mission.

From the late 2040s and into the early 2050s, there is a glut in the market due to the UN Spacy selling off its remaining fleet of QF-3000E. Many of the fighters receive modifications and make the transition to the F-3000e Fighter arrangement and are sold to Colony Defense Forces and civilians.

Some end users have started an alarming (for the UNG) trend – bolting dorsal FAST pack boosters to the upper surface!

SPEEDS:

FLYING: Mach 4, with thrusters providing temporary speed of Mach 5.2 to permit Ghost fighter to breach atmosphere to obtain orbit.

LENGTH: 16 m

POWER PLANT:

Thermonuclear Fusion Reactor

COMPATIBLE FAST PACKS

None standard. However, there is a trend amongst users to bolt a single dorsal FAST Pack unit on the top of the F-3000e. Any dorsal FAST Pack can be used, however the preference is on the VF-5000’s hybrid jet/rocket booster unit, due to its fuel economy and larger fuel and munitions payload.

In addition, users occasional bolt the VA-3 Rocket Booster Packs or the SV-51’s Turopov Micro-Missile Launcher/Auxillery Tank Composite Pods to the bottom of the F-3000e to increase the fighters fuel payload and speed (rocket booster pods only.) The preference is on the Turopov pods, due to the additional punch they bring to the F-3000e.

WEAPON SYSTEMS:

1. LARGE BORE LASER CANNONS:

Secured within large ports on the port and starboard sides of the Fighter are 6 Laser Cannons. The Cannons are fire-linked together and fixed forward so the AI must line up the target to hit. The damage from the fire-linked cannons enables them to destroy enemy mecha with single blasts against most mecha.

  • PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assault
  • SECONDARY PURPOSE: Anti-Aircraft
  • RANGE: 1200 m (4000 ft)
  • DAMAGE: 1D4x10 M.D. (Per Cannon) 6D4x10 MD for fire-linked cannon blasts.
  • RATE OF FIRE: 4 times per melee.
  • PAYLOAD: Effectively Unlimited.

2. SHORT RANGE MISSILE LAUNCHERS:

Located in the side mounted thrusters are 8 missile launchers (4 per side) which provided additional firepower for the QF-3000E Ghost Fighter. The QF-3000E will normally keep the missiles for specific mission parameters so as to be efficient and conserve ammunition.

  • PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assault
  • MISSILE TYPE: Any Short-range missile
  • RANGE: Varies with missile type
  • DAMAGE: Varies with missile type
  • RATE OF FIRE: Volleys of 1-8 missiles, 4 volleys per melee
  • PAYLOAD: 4 missiles per launcher, total of 32 missiles

STANDARD EQUIPMENT FOR THE F-3000E:

COMBAT BONUSES FOR F-3000E GHOST FIGHTER TRAINING:

F-3000E GHOST FIGHTER COMBAT BONUSES

  • 2 attacks per melee (plus those of the pilot).
  • Add one additional action/attack at levels three, six, eleven, and fifteen.
  • +2 to strike
  • +4 to dodge
  • +2 to roll with impact, reducing damage by half.
  • Critical strike same as pilot's hand-to-hand.
