A huge asteroid belt that circles the entire star system. It is sparsely filled with large and small asteroids in slow orbits. Dangerous for large ships to fly through, but not so much of a problem for small fighters. The UN Spacy Galaxy Patrol frequently does sweeps of the asteroid field to ensure no pirates or Anti-UN Rebels are hiding in the asteroid field.

The last planet is a frozen dead planet with only a minimal atmosphere of freezing cold winds. The UN Spacy has a small listening post set up on this planet with a Hyperspace relay station on the orbiting moon.


Notes: The Colony of Britannia is one of the largest & oldest colonies of the UNG. The Death Angels searched for pirates in the Charest system (see the UNSD for more details).

All modern masters of Japanese style martial arts learned directly from him. He is considered a cultural treasure. Neo Edo is modern colony. Officers in the colonial miliary carry swords. Tourists are surpized to find not everyone on the planet knows karate. Wannabe Ninjas consider the planet a holy place. The colonist think they are crazy.

Sector Six

Sector Six contains a somewhat kidney shaped large dense cluster of stars. It has been further subdivided by the UNG into 8 smaller subsections. The large dense cluster of stars occupies the first 6 subsections, with the latter two being relatively empty voids.

Section A

It is the largest and hosts some 30+ brown dwarf and collapsing super stars,, there is a black hole believed to be forming (thus the reason for the dense cluster of stars...) of unmeasured scale. This section is the closest to ‘Near the Core of the UNG.’ Due to the navigation hazard presented by the black hole and dense packing of stars, it has presented a more complete exploration of Sector Six – access usually require passing through Sector 5 or 7.

Section B

It is mostly space dust and "proto-stars", not quite dense enough to be considered a true nebula. Has a permanent registered populations.

Sections C through E

These are rough "slices" of the kidney and contain 8.5 stars each.

Section F

This is the least dense portion of stars in the cluster and occupies a good third of it. This section is closer to Sector 5 and is on the main trade line from Sectors 3, 4, 5 and part of Sector 2 to the are that the M15 fleet is currently exploring. It has a few permanent registered populations.
Section F was first colonized approximately 7+ years ago and has quickly established itself as a sovereign group with a significant amount of wealth from mining and agriculture facilities. The sector’s government is dictatorial in nature, though composed of a group of candidates from each of the solar systems in the sector in addition to the asteroid mining company.
The sector’s location, away from major shipping lanes, has limited its growth to some degree. However, more than the location is the UNG spaceport, through which all trade goods must pass through UNG Trade Inspectors to use the established fold routes. This state of trade has bred a fair amount of animosity toward the UNG colony in Section F space, and tensions have been rising. The acquisition of a large scale war ship would allow the Sector Six establishment to pose a major threat and possibility even threaten the UNG controlled planet of Pegas-2.
This is the layout of the concerned sector: There are no relevant systems or bases within two parsecs of this location.

Pregas 2

System Map
The Pregas 2 system is an impressive one to look at. Pregas 2 is a deep red giant and has in its orbit a binary star, which has its own planetary system. The binary star is also red, though brighter in hue than its big brother, not to mention much small being a primary sequence star.

Theta is known as the show off of the system, having both a ring as well as two moons. It has a small “tourist facility,” completely contained as surface temperatures race up into the hundreds of degrees Celsius from the sun. However, due to its proximity to the two suns, the outer layer of the planet’s rings are constantly in a liquid state, making for a spectacle from the planets surface. It’s nicknamed “The Mercury Ring.”

  • ORBITAL STATION: Passenger Customs/immigrations processing and UNG TRADE CENTER
It has a standard space dock and can facilitate up to 12 50,400 ton or less space ships in pressure dock, as well as 30 plus small craft under 50 tons in the pressure dock. There are four landing pads for 400+ ton ships, these are not pressure dock and require umbilical or flight suits to move to and from the station; typically a small ship debarking from the larger ships moves to pressure dock in these situations.
The UNG TC is shaped similar to the Colony ships. And open Coliseum looks out over the planet and suns of the system, with 3/4 showing through glass, all of this surface area is capable of been closed in by armored plates, typically only 10% of the ‘sky’ shows. People not accustomed become disoriented by the view of space.
The Interior of the station is a maze of passages and hall typical to any large building, with elevators and walkways, offices and homes. It has two ‘parks’, one of which is on the ‘top’ floor near to the docking bays, the other is in the center of the Coliseum, and has a great view of the Suns.
The Facility is not that large, the docking bays take up most of the 1/4 that has not exposure, the City-Building is run up against those in a kind of angular bulkhead, and the Coliseum is 50%+ open/pressure space with the Trading markets in a wide open market surrounding Central Park.

UNG Space: Customs And Securty Center

Free floating station outside of Pregas-2
The UNG SPACE C&SC is some 20000 clicks out from the farthest planet in the Pregas-2 system. It lies at the center of 1/2 parsec wide string of UNS Defense Satellites (some 200 total in an x y grid). The CS&S, or SeeSas, as most people in the sector refer to it as, or most UNG people know it as Oberth, is in fact one of the few Oberth battle Cruisers still in existence in the UNS.
The Oberth acts as a Border Crossing between the no-mans' land between Dorta and Pregas-2. All ships are registered at this point.
The Oberth itself though retrofitted to some degree, is little more useful than as a control center for the defense satellites. The Cruiser itself has only 1/2 of its weapons active, and it has NO propulsion system whatsoever, thus its terminal stationing at this location.

The BCTC Trade Center, and Free Trade Orbital

Sector Six Passenger Immigration Center.
The BCTC TC and FTO immigration center pales in comparison to the UNG.TC at Pregas-2. Neither of them has pressure docks and all movement to and from ships is made by small shuttle craft, of which there is a plethora of private captains.¹
The Center itself looks like a patchwork mess of small and medium sized transport craft, which in fact it is. The whole place is centered around what might have been a free traders heavy transport. The only reason the place can exist as it does is its free floating nature, it once was an orbital station, but long since lost its capabilities to maintain any decent orbit and was pushed out into space to act as the opposing twin of SeeSas (UNG CS&S)
The Center sports a modest hard docking port, suiting up to 4 * 400t+ ships in dock at once, and 20+ 50t to 400t- ships. It has but one Pressure dock(through “AVIN”²) which can suit just about any sngle ship up to 50t tons max.
The Interior of the ship is 100% interior, some locations near the ‘edges’ have ports to view out of, but mostly just exostructure and deck plating are all that is visible. The Interior of the ship is a real maze of passages and chambers, all most all of them are to tradingcenters and small outfits, private traders companies, Sector Six internal trading, as well as some (few) UNG trading outfit establishments.
Only about a third of the ship is accessable to the public the rest of the ship acts a temporary base for the Six Shooters command staff as well as some members of Government.
BCTCTC is heavily policed and violence is not unknown here. although UNG and UNS people are steered clear of the ‘messier’ places, its pretty obvious this is a run down station with a run down population.


¹ the captains of these craft refer to themselves as Stewards, and most are known to the locals as ‘FatStews’, though the origins of this name is obscure.
² the BCTCTCFTO is a mess of craft that have been ‘fitted’ together, some are simply transports that have been ‘lashed’ in place, other are liners that have been gutted and rehulled into place. In general, the place Is a mess and difficult to navigate for a newcomer. The Central part known as the CORE is one single ship that was the original center of operations. It is controlled by the government the CORE is not visible from out side of the station. Next ‘above’ that is JELUP, this is the head quarters for the heavy police presence. Directly ‘beneath’ the CORE is AVIN, this was a luxury liner and act as the primary housing facility and restaurant section for visitors. BLEEPIN is the residential sector and is made up of several small ships, and continues to grow exteriorly as more people come to stay here. EL-ONE and EL-TWO are the primary docking areas and are separated from the rest of the station by a passageway, that looks suspiciously like a cargo tube, that corridor is home to the Customs officials and their officers and is known as CUSTOMS.

  • ORTRAC, Free Trade center Orbiting Dorta
ORTRAC is probably the newest bit of technology in the whole Sector. It is a tube that stands on ‘end’ to the planet Dorta, it has three docking rings for 30 to 100ton ships hard dock, just ‘below’ the lowest dock ring is a pressure dock ring, which can facilitate up to 20 smaller craft (the largest ship it can facilitate is the Stargoose.)
Below that are 11 levels, each being 3 ‘floors‘ deep and having separate gravity fields to keep each floor at the same gravity. The first 5 floors are accessible to public, the next two down are private estates and housing, and the last 4 are military and governmentally controlled and include the engineering departments.
ORTRAC is a fairly busy port, acting as the primary mover of goods in and out of the system. It typically is a full port, with transports and heavier ships picking their own orbits waiting for a chance to get into hard dock. All of the trade goods that pass from system to system are traded here, and a decent sized market has grown. ORTRAC is also the primary communications relay point to and from the UNG controlled space, as well as the key jumping point to almost all other systems in Sector Six.
ORTRAC including its own defenses has four defense satellites that float around its position in orbit. These are equivalent to the UNS defense satellites and have set the Trade Center back a huge chunk of cash
The Lower 1/2 section has some simple defenses, and the power systems and propulsion systems (only enough to correct orbital variance, it is in a stationary orbit)

A basically empty void of space that’s notorious for barely visible asteroids and comets that seemingly appear out of nowhere. Usually avoided by all but the foolish and insane.


Section H

Has a small cluster of stars in the furthest corner from occupied space. The cluster is rumored to contain a small fleet of rogue Zentraedi from Bodolza’s Fleet.

Terrain: Should be a lush utopia, but is heavily scared with impact craters. Equatorial belt is a dry desert, due to atmospheric heating and moisture vaporization from meteor strikes. Has rings like Saturn and an impressive number of small natural satellites.
Population: unknown – not more then a handful.
Government: none.
Type: Wild planet – only colonists are the insane or those who can’t live anywhere else. As close to an unpopulated, lawless planet as one is going to get.
Military: none.
Notes: known to have random and sudden comets and meteors randomly hitting the planet.

Gas Giant. Contains a valuable gas used in operating spacefold drives. Likes like a giant peach - same motley pink-yellow-red colouration. It has many smaller moons and moonlets in orbit.

Government: Galactic Kronër Establishment.
Type: Mining complex, refinery and management facility on a platform in a low orbit (within the atmosphere) of Momoyama-3. Not a colony per se. Created, managed and run by the gas mining company: Galactic Kronër.
Military: None.
Defenses: the complex has a few AA gun and missile emplacements. Mostly uses Momoyama-3's atmosphere to hide itself from visual and rudimentary sensor scans.


  • Momoyama-3A Aka:

Seed

Orbit: 26-hour orbit with the same characteristics as Earth’s moon. One side is always facing Momoyama-3. Daytime always has the dark side of Momoyama-3 in the sky and nighttime is illuminated by the light side of Momoyama-3, giving a orangey-pink hue.
Size: About as big as Earth’s moon but has a gravity of 0.83 Earth’s.
Terrain: Grasslands. Forests limited to alpine and sub-arctic regions. Has few rivers and fewer mountains. What little groundwater there is consists of streams, brooks, ponds and lakes that are above the water table. Due to this effect, some of the land can be defined as 'muskeg.'
Population: 750 (est.)
Government: Pseudo-company/colony Meritocracy.
Type: rural farming communities.
Military: Small SDF at the largest "settlement". Consists of a few really old and used VFs and rusted out Destroids. (All operational - but how much...?)
Notes: Not a colony per se. Seed was colonized indirectly by the company in charge of Core. The planet was colonized largely for farming to offset the costs of importing foodstuffs from out-of-system. "Colony" consists of a single large settlement (Momodani) and five smaller satellite settlements around it; all in the prime growing land.

Update: Eskar III has recently fallen to an invasion by the Anti-UN. Reports claim that the phantom Neo Nupetiet Vergnitz-bis lead the invasion forces.

LV-426 Expanded Details

Terrain: Mixture of low and highlands, rugged mountains and vast expanses of fine silicate sand. The planet is as dry as a bone and has little natural moisture on it. What little moisture there is either locked into one of the two polar icecaps or present in the sole area of natural springs. The only indigenous vegetation, is found in the canyons, caves and crevices in and around the available water and is limited to hardy cactus type plants, algae and moss. Indigenous wildlife, if found, is limited to small lizard type beasties and insects – all are located near water as well.

Notes: Notorious in the UNS for it is the site of a failed UNS Colony; one that some UNG people consider to be haunted. A terraforming tower was built in the only area that contains natural springs, a rocky valley that has a mysterious energy field – an energy field that stabilizes the elements and promotes growth. Enabling a farming and mining colony to be established in the immediate proximity of the tower prior to the failure of the colony.
