Architect

(Min IQ12. 6 years training. Starting age: 22)

The enormous and wonderful buildings of such cities as Macross City and Eden City are not designed by themselves. They require architects who can translate an idea into a blueprint and work with that to make it real; detailing construction materials, support points and everything else required to know how to make a building. With OTEC, architects have been able to make larger, more robust buildings and are also able to make them more beautiful than past generations of architects have been able to do.

Coroner

(Min IQ14, 6 years training. Starting age 24)

Coroners train the same as regular doctors. However they choose a more curious line of the medical profession to specialize in. Namely dealing with the dead to determine the cause of death. Becoming a coroner usually involves a lot of investigation into how a person died. The Police quite commonly rely on information a Coroner will discover during an autopsy to assist them in tracking a killer or providing evidence to convict a criminal.

Dentist

(Min IQ14, 6 years training. Starting age 24)

Dentists are trained in the care and welfare of the teeth. Dentists learn everything to do with teeth, and commonly perform minor surgery on teeth, unless if the procedure requires hospital facilities. Dentists are also trained in basic biology (focusing on areas that relate to dentistry) and medicine to the level of a paramedic.

Designer (Spacecraft)

(Min IQ15, 6 years training. Start age 24)

Probably the most intensive and well paying design job there is. Only the largest and best universities offer the Spacecraft Design course, due to its requirements. Applicants must be able to grasp not only how a spacecraft works, runs, and how to fix it, but also how to build and design spacecraft. As mankind continues to take its rapidly growing steps into the galaxy, more and more ships of various specifications and requirements are being designed and manufactured. Spacecraft designers are paid huge bonuses for successful designs. The most lucrative branch of all is to work for the manufacturer of UNG spacecraft. Mostly because of the chance to be on the leading edge of scientific knowledge due to the UNG’s close relationship with the continually advancing field of OTEC.

Veterinarians specialize in animal medicine, and are the animal equivalent of the Doctor M.O.S.. The leading edge of veterinarian medicine, the most exciting and the most profitable is the care of alien livestock. Exciting due to the new scientific knowledge being created almost daily, and profitable as humanity requires food – without veterinarians, the food supply would be seriously reduced.
