A huge asteroid belt that circles the entire star system. It is sparsely filled with large and small asteroids in slow orbits. Dangerous for large ships to fly through, but not so much of a problem for small fighters. The UN Spacy Galaxy Patrol frequently does sweeps of the asteroid field to ensure no pirates or Anti-UN Rebels are hiding in the asteroid field.

A singular moon orbits this frigid planet of frozen ice.
  • Charest VII
The last planet is a frozen dead planet with only a minimal atmosphere of freezing cold winds. The UN Spacy has a small listening post set up on this planet with a Hyperspace relay station on the orbiting moon.
Notes: The Colony of Britannia is one of the largest & oldest colonies of the UNG. The Death Angels searched for pirates in the Charest system (see the UNSD for more details).

They are more than a bit resentful against Britannia. Clarence Neville spokesman for a believed "Anti-UN Group" held several political offices on this planet.

Mining platform in a low orbit (within the atmosphere) of Momoyama-3. Not a colony per se - created, managed and run by a gas mining company.
Population: 100
Government: Company Establishment.
Type: Mining complex, refinery and management facility.
Military: None.
Defenses: the complex has a few AA gun and missile implacements. Mostly uses Momoyama-3's atmosphere to hide itself from visual and rudementary sensor scans.

Momoyama-4-A Aka:
Seed
Grasslands. Forests limited to alpine and sub-artic regions. Has few rivers and fewer mountains. What little groundwater there is consists of streams, brooks, ponds and lakes that are above the water table. Due to this effect, some of the land can be defined as 'muskeg.'
Population: 750 (est.)
Government: Pseudo-company/colony Meritocracy.
Type: rural farming communities.
Military: Small SDF at the largest "settlement". Consists of a few really old and used VFs and rusted out Destroids. (All operational - but how much...?)
Notes: Not a colony per se
  • Seed was colonized indirectly by the company in charge of Core. The planet was colonized largely for farming to offset the costs of importing foodstuffs from out-of-system.
  • "Colony" consists of a single large settlement (Momodani) and five or six smaller satillite settlements around it - all in the prime growing land.

Notes: Colony founded by 'The Samurai of the SDF-1' The 'Samurai' is a master of several advanced forms of Japanese martial arts. He is credited for keeping the traditional fighting styles alive (kaifun is credit with the Chinese forums). 'The Samurai'played himself in the Macross movie of 2031. All modern masters of Japanese style martial arts learned directly from him. He is considered a cultural treasure. Neo Edo is modern colony. Officers in the colonial miliary carry swords. Tourists are surpized to find not everyone on the planet knows karate. Wannabe Ninjas consider the planet a holy place. The colonist think they are crazy.

Type: trading post for freebooters, salvagers, pirates and other people on the shady side of UNS law.

Mostly salvaged Zentraedi mecha with the odd stolen and/or refurbished VF.
Residents and visitors may also join in with their personal spacecraft (anything goes)
Notes: Refurbished, abandoned (and heavily damaged) Zentraedi Flagship which has been turned into a massively huge city and busy spaceport which is notorious for the lowlifes and other freebooters that frequent the place. Not a place to take the family on vacation. Located in the asteroid belt of the planet Mekong.

Notes: UN Colony of with a strong anti-Zentran population. Eskar III while not that important on it's own it is often used a junction point for traders, smugglers and pirates. The hardy colonist and criminals both favor public duels. Those on their way to New Patagonia (and beyond; the Macross 15 Fleet), New Essex or Britannia often stop off here.

Type: (Secret?) UNSM & UNI Training, Testing and Research Facility.
Military: TBA
Notes: The planet is dry as a bone and has little to no natural moisture on it. Indigenous vegetation, if found, is limited to cactus type plants. Indigenous wildlife, if found, is limited to small lizard type beasties and insects. It is notorious in the UNS for it is the site of a failed UNS Colony; one that some UNS people consider to be haunted. A terraforming tower was built and some type of energy field was established in one rocky valley, enabling a farming and mining colony to be established in the immediate proximity to the tower.
Something happened and the residents of the colony were all killed. The only evidence that they were killed was… a red, bloody goo that was all that remained of their bodies. The bones and everything else were liquefied by… well, the UNS scientists are still uncertain as to the cause. The UNS scrubbed the site down, removed most of the equipment that they could, and closed the site down. The UNS hasn’t visited LV-426 since the incident. There is no accurate or updated information on the site for the past 10 years.


The Terraforming Tower on Planet LV-426

The tower is built in a circular valley with sheer cliff walls reaching almost 200 m in height. The landscape around the tower is broken and there are numerous clefts in the cliff that can be used to approach the tower with stealth.
Each level is roughly bowl shaped, with a radius of 175 (lowest level) ~ 125 (topmost level) m and each floor has a height of 60 m with an additional 20 m height (for a total of 80 m) of open space with only support columns. There are 10 floors in total, above ground. A track was designed run around the circumference of each level as a means to quickly and easily move people around. The main vertical elevators are in the support columns. In the center of each level is an area for a park. Each level is it’s own separate city-block type area, with shops, offices and plenty of apartments in multi-level arrangements. The average building is three to five floors high, with the taller ones reaching 7/8 floors in height. This is the arrangement that the UNS engineers who built the tower envisioned for it. The surface of the ceiling contained most of the atmospheric processors; all of which were removed when the UNS pulled out. The layout of the tower is known to be the following:

  • 6 – Pirating spoils spill-over storage level

  • 3 – Starship hangar level, repair facilities, meeting rooms, offices and ‘guest’ rooms. Storage depot and repair facility for the Anti-UN that occasionally stopover and trade with the Pirates; big door on one side: 80 x 80 m.

  • Sub-level 2 – minimal size, abandoned

  • Sub-level 4 – minimal size, abandoned save for: Neo-Zeon, home of some rogues that the Pirates either didn’t know or care about. Have access caves dug out from their sub-level
  • Sub-level 5 – minimal size, abandoned
  • Sub-level 6 – minimal size, abandoned
  • Sub-level 7 – minimal size, abandoned
  • Sub-level 8 – Engineering level for monitoring geo-energy extraction machinery

There is an additional 20 m height (for a total of 80 m) of open space with only support columns. A track (unused except for on the palace level) runs around the circumference of each level. In the center of each level is a park. Every level, save for the palace, is dry with no plant life whatsoever to speak of.

Petite Cola Ad Colony #34

Population: 80,000 (Microns).
Government: Self-Govern, UN Ambassador.
Type: Colony/Petite Sector Bottling Planet.

Notes: This colony was formed by colonists who wanted to have more control over their colony. They created the colony with in the law and signed a 50 year contract with Petite Cola for funding. In exchange for the money to start the colony the colonist agree to broadcast Petite Cola ads to all travellers passing by. This Colony is currently having trouble with Anti-UN raiders. The Colony is petitioning for permission from the UN to increase their self-defence forces.

Notes: A backwater colony with a small shuttle port/UN government building. Everything is fully modern here it's just 1/10th the size of what most in the UN are use to. The sun is very bright and shouldn't be viewed without eye protection. Reebox is currently being evaluated from possible mining. Confirmed recruiting point for the Anti-UN.
