Background: The Corsa di Tuono (or "Thunder Race") is an illegal street bike race held annually through the streets of Macross City-15. The race caters to the city's most influential and talented racers, and is an underworld highlight every year (a regular "Who's Who" of the city's most wanted).
The Corsa was created and sponsored by a high profile thug known as Muerte, and only he knows the course prior to the race's start. Participants race throughout City-15 following road-side markers to the secret finish line. Rules are simple -- do whatever you can to win, but outside participation is not permitted. Melee weapons are allowed, ranged weapons are not.
Past participants include Kesia Alfonse, Carlos Maza, Rancor Ramone, Patchwork, Mini Muerte, Cottonmouth, Loaf and Choco Taco.
The Corsa features prominently in the Tempest Wolves story Night Life (Kesia Alfonse Side Story).
