Beliefs

The Macross RPG Community believes that roleplaying should be a fun, relaxing activity where you come to enjoy a futuristic world based on one of the world’s best animations. I share this belief, but I also believe that Macross is a realistic anime (oxymoron?). As such, I endeavor to use as much real world physics as possible. Players will not be performing superhuman stunts or have any sort of superhuman abilities.

Policies

Character Death
Character death is a fact of real life. It will also happen in my games. If a player puts in their best effort, I will do my best to keep them alive, barring them doing something incredibly stupid. The quickest way to die is to quit posting during combat.

Joining
I like to have a large amount of character interaction in my games. As such, prospective players should be good writers that play off of the details provided by other players. If I am unfamiliar with your work, I will sometimes ask for an application essay.

Rules

  1. No public flaming wars allowed. There will be no warning on this rule. Your account will be suspended automatically and reintroduction will be at the will of the Administrative Council. Disagreements should be taken off this board.
  2. If you leave the game, I reserve the right to write out your character in a manner that fits with the current storyline. I will, however, try to respect the wishes of the player.
  3. Anything said in character or done during the game does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the GM, but if there is something that is not to your liking, contact me immediately.

History

Sunday, January 9, 2050
The Golden Dragons return from Operation Snakecharmer, but with only two survivors.

Tuesday, January 11, 2050
The Golden Dragons and Golden Eagles embark on a mission to investigate a quarantined world. Unknown to the Dragons, the mission is not authorized. Both units have been redirected by a secret organization. Trying to help their forward scout, the Golden Dragons rush into and attack, and all pilots are shot down.

Friday, January 14, 2050
The Golden Dragons return from their unauthorized mission with the Golden Eagles. With all of their fighters destroyed, it is considered a complete failure.

Sunday, January 16, 2050
While the Golden Dragons are patrolling the fleet, a Meltran Gunship attacks. The Dragons succeed in cleaning out the Unicorns’ hanger, but several pilots are shot up pretty badly during the battle. The Dragons spend the rest of their day drowning their troubles in alcohol. When they return to their barracks later that night, they are transferred to the UNS Centaur for a mission to the anti-UN world of New Caladonia.

Monday, January 17, 2050
The UNS Centaur sets out for New Caladonia.

Monday, February 14, 2050
Valentine's Day. UNS Centaur arrives at New Caladonia.
