The State of the Cobalt Address
I have returned but I have also determined what kept me away for so long. My games have been running for so long that I am having trouble plotting the next path for them. To that end, I will be ending my current games and starting a new game altogether. My initial idea is for a new colony mission, new characters, and to break from the stories and conventions introduced in my current games.
I will be wrapping up in preparation for the new game. All of my current players that are active in any of my games are welcome to join.
The information is below.
Available Races: Human, Zolan, T’sentraedi (full or hybrid). Please note, this is an elite squadron, no screw-ups please.
Year: 2050
Squadron: SVFA-105 Gunslingers
Fleet: 40Th Colonial Expedition
Billet: Battle 10 Flagship “Argo”
Squadron Openings

Re: The State of the Cobalt Address
"No screw-ups". Why do I get the feeling that was directed at me?
Can you give us an idea of what you have in mind?
Some of the setting can be puzzled out. Macross 10. That puts it as a 2nd Generation New Macross Fleet (like the M7). The year of 2050 tells us that it has been out for at least decade since the New Macross design was retired in 2040 in favor the much larger Island Class. Other than that... *shrug*

Old school Macross... sure. I'll toss my hat in the ring.
Re: The State of the Cobalt Address
I'm in. I'll have a think about a new character over the weekend.
Quick question: how long has the fleet been out there for, would our 20-something pilot's remember the launch?

Re: The State of the Cobalt Address
Most of the New Macross class ships were launched in the 2030s. For the record, almost all of the known fleets came from Eden. I guess they have the main shipyards there.
It is worth mentioning as far as races go that Windermere was part of the UN from 2027 until 2060. Not that we have to use them, I was just sayin' is all.

What type of VFs will we be flying?
Don't hunt for death, for it finds us all soon enough.
Re: The State of the Cobalt Address
To answer some of the questions, in no particular order.
1 - The mission launched 11 years ago
2 - I am not including Windermere.
3 - Yes, you will remember the launch if you're an original colonist.
4 - I am using the Macross 7 model because it is what I am most familiar with.
5 - The no screw ups was directed at everyone because just about everyone has played one in the past. It is the new version of the no motorcycle riding, katana wielding, bad boy orphan.
6 - The squad is transitioning from VF-11s to 19s.
Please begin posting your characters on the joining board.

I have never been so happy to see the number 17 skipped in my life
Re: The State of the Cobalt Address
LOL. I actually liked the 17. We used them on the Cobras.

Re: The State of the Cobalt Address
Do you want only combat characters? I was thinking of maybe using a journalist who is assigned to the elite group. Propaganda has to come from somewhere.
The 17 is the design I dislike the most. It barely manages to squeeze out the 14 for the top Hate Slot.

If that is what you want to play, I will allow it. You will be assigned a rear seat in one of the 19s.

I'll need a few days to craft a character for you. Especially now that you've quashed my idea of a katana wielding, lone-wolf orphan who rides a motorcycle. Fortunately for me, can also play his cousin who happens to be a butter-knife wielding, unicycle riding polygamist.

I'm going for a female Golan. May need cropping if anyone can assist.

I submitted a character to the Joining Board.
Re: The State of the Cobalt Address
I have 3 characters so far. Please be advised, I will not be updating any of my other games. They are finished at this point. I will be starting new threads on Gunslingers for the active players within the next day or so.
