Honestly? I didn't expect to get this far. I don't have any characters and I haven't prepared a new one. Guess I should think on it, huh?

You know, when I stopped playing here a couple of months ago, I dropped all of my RPs, both as a player and as a GM. I have had a lot of free time: picked up those new skills, did some reading and listened to those audio plays, watched a new anime ("Jashin-Chan Dropkick" Have you see it?). I've gotten used to not doing RPs. I don't want to delve too far down that rabbit hole. I had been doing around twenty characters, not counting the ones from games that I was GM-ing. I am going to have to reel that number way the heck in for my own sanity. I told Aaron that I would play with him. I told my old group that'd I do one game with them starting next month. I'll probably pick up one fantasy game (Pathfinder or D&D) on top of those. With one character here, I think that will be plenty.

If you want to work on a new one, toss some concepts up on the joining board. I'm happy to have you back.

With as many bad things things as had happened to her, it seems unlikely that Jehanne would return voluntarily. So, barring a revolt on the shuttle or an assault on her home system (it did have a major refueling depot), she probably won't appear outside of video calls with Xenia.

If you would like to bring her back into play, I have a dozen ways to make it happen.

On one hand, I do like playing her. On the other, I think that she had a good exit that I would probably be unable to match. Damn choices.

Either way, I think that I will take another character so that I can play with everyone else. If you are not going to do anything with those background characters, I may snatch Jupiter. She would have a brief IC history with the group, even if from an OOC standpoint she was just a space filler.

Cool. I'll have to whip up a bio sheet for her.

Let's see. Two-tone hair, so Zolan. Covergirl implies that she is a support type: Artillery or Overwatch Sniper. Or that she is a model. Or that they made her do all of the bedding laundry at the academy.

In the posts, she was defined as a Meltraedi. The name, Deparra is from the Robotech novels, Seloy Depara. She was a combat pilot. Her callsign was from her time as a youth model.

A head's up: I plan on moving on the 20th. Nice house, huge fenced yard, good neighborhood. All that adds up to no money until I can get everything squared away. So, I will have limited to no internet access for a while once I move. If you want or need anything from me, you should probably do it soon.

Congratulations on the upcoming move. We can put Jehanne in a holding pattern until you are able to resume posting.

Thank you. I have been looking forward to it. I am going from a studio apartment to a house. I can start to move in, in about a week and a half.

It shouldn't be too hard to keep my characters out. Jehanne is not on the fleet and even if she was, everyone else is away on a mission. Jupiter would be in medical going through recovery from her injuries and physical therapy to acclimate to her new replacement parts.

True, though I dont have an open slot to start Jupiter right away. We can leave her on the burner until something opens up. It has only been about a week and extensive cybernetics would have her still in a hospital. Not much RP potential there beyond bedpans and sponge baths.

As for the new place, I still remember the day my wife and I moved out of our apartment and into our house. Good times.

I am sure there is probably a small community for Bedpan RPs.

How are things over there? Are the protestors still hanging around?

It looks like I am going to have more money left over post-move than I had planned for. I may not have much of an internet down time, after all.

I'm glad to hear you wont have to suffer much down time.

Do you think that all of the protests are going to accomplish anything? I mean beyond spreading the virus among them.

While I do not envy my Colonial brothers, what with your current 'Commander in Chief' and all, I found out today that the whole taking a knee gesture was stated to be from Game of Thrones and a sign of subordination.

This was said by the UK foreign secretary.

I guess what Im trying to say is, we all have idiots.

I hope so. Unfortunately, some of the things that are going are swinging way too far in the other direction. Like that one story in the news where the guy stolen stole a cop's weapon and shot at them, and when another officer killed the guy, they are trying to charge the cop with murder. That's not right.

what with your current 'Commander in Chief' and all

I would like to take this moment to point out that I voted for someone's else.

I don’t know man. It wasn’t the cop’s firearm. It was a taser.

I don’t think that warrants him dying. And part of me wonders if he’d been some white dude wrestling with the cops if they wouldn’t have found some other way to take him down.

Well, they could have tased him, but you know.... No, I am of the firm belief that if you steal a cop's weapon, regardless of which one you grab, then you get what you deserve. That's just Darwinism, right there.

That reminds of that one dude a while back who was in a stand-off with a bunch of police officers, who were outside of his house. He tried to defeat them but stepping outside with his guitar and singing them in to submission.
