Keep in prayer.
Today I discovered from my Aunt that my grandmother has been commited to the hospital after a test for her heart came up with possible five blockages on the right side of her heart. We will not know more until Sunday. Please keep our family in prayer.

My uncle had a widow maker block in his body at one point, but was able to find out soon enough to survive. He lived through the procedure and was about sixty seven years old I believe?
I wish your grandmother the same luck and good graces from above that he had. I hope her surgery goes well without a hitch.

I'll keep them in my prayers, bro. God bless you and your family.
Don't hunt for death, for it finds us all soon enough.
Update on monday Sep. 11th aka her b-day my Grandmother had her sergury. She did fine it was supposed to be a 5 bypass, but it came to be 4 the fith one was too risky. She woke up monday even ing at 8:30pm and is doing quite well. She's still not out of the woods yet, but we're happy it's over.
Now on to getting her back to health and keeping the dreaded stroke monster away.

I hadn't commented before on this thread because I've become much more the "bah-humbug" type the last year or so. But reading that she's out, I was reminded of someone else I know. There's a guy I know who had a quadruple bypass about three years ago. He spent two years recovering, then was able to resume the normal duties of an infantryman (at the age of about 45; "hard-living" is a good term for SGT Postert), save for running, and he was expected to do that within six months. The man's daily routine included a six-mile hike with a 45-pound pack. He was discharged from the Guard not too long ago after he hit his 30-year mark. "Dragged out of uniform, kicking and screaming" might be a better description.
So - moral of the story: Provided that nothing goes seriously wrong, there's really not much that a determined recovery process can't bring back into her life.

Ok it's time I updated this. Everything went fine she had a four bypass and she is frisky as ever. She'll be home soon and thanks for all your best wishes.
