I've been a little indisposed due to a rather fun work situation.

I'm not sure how much longer this will last, but I'll try to have DBES up in the next day or so.

Hope the work gets itself straightened out soon (I've just got my own ship in order, thank God for the end of the month!).

The main thing you've got to worry about is Masumi referring to himself in the plural <IMG SRC="/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif">

Actually, the scary ones are the ones that refer to themselves in the third person.

The Apeman007 wishes Lanji the best of luck to over come the current obstacles that he faces.

Technically you could say I'm back, at least in one capacity. Unfortinatly, I'm still very busy with other rather fun tasks that require more and more of my time.

Either way, you'll either see more of me, or less depending on my time schedule right now.

DBES In character posts are up.

Well, for everyone out there on the MRC I feel that an update is in order.

First, I've been following the Staff Threads as closelly as time allows, and there are some potentially interesting and damaging issues that have been brough up. Without getting into details (which is against the Staff Boards General Instructions), I'll continue looking into a way to avoid some of the problems brought up.

Second, for those of you that have been eagerly awaiting various plugins/cleanup's/etc. I'll have to spoil your mood for a little bit (see the forth item).

Third, it looks like my games are proceeding, and everyone knows we're on the slow posting schedule. If any players (or GM's I have) need to get a hold of me, either this thread, or PM is still best.

Forth, even though classes are out, my class work is NOT done yet. The last item I have to complete is my Practicum Thesis. For those of you wondering, its a 20-25 page paper, with attachements that could make it in excess of 50 pages when completed that covers our 'practicum' or the project we're working on.

Right now I'm only about 10 pages into it, and only have covered about 1/3 of my project... Scary I know.

Needless to say, this practicum paper takes presidence over EVERYTHING, including work believe it or not.

My apologies to those that need them. More details to come as I finish things up.

Update for 6/28/2004...

I'm currently in Denver Colorado, after a nice epic trip back home (to Riverton) and then here. I'll be out of sync for a little while, so just ignore me if I'm out of wack.

I'll hopefully have everything posted by tomorrow night (I'm using a friends Cable Modem connection).

Update for 7/21/2004:

Just a heads up for everyone, I'm heading to Seattle August 2nd through the 14th. If we can swing it, I would like to get together with a few of you, but otherwise I'm planning on spending the time with my girlfriend and getting to know her family.

I wasn't originally planning 12 days, but at the time I scheduled the trip, I was going to be without employment.

I've since been given an extended contract at the Wyoming State Geological Survey, and an oportunity to work with the College of Business on a project.

More news when the time comes.

Well the day has come. I'll be leaving the day after tomorrow for Seattle (leaving tomorrow for Denver), and after that I'm kind of out of the loop until I get a connection in Seattle.

As usual, if things go wrong, refer to your GM. Araruin has Administrative Board controls in case of an emergancy, and Xuric will have instructions on the boards, and databases just in case the plane I'm on goes flop instead of lands correctly.

Anyway, see you guys in a few days!

Good news folks, I'm in Seattle!

More news later on...

I'll try getting some posts in by tomorrow, but I'm having so much fun that its not looking like I'm going to get very far short of Tuesday of next week.

Sorry for the delays!

I know it's summer and all that... but watch out for the rain! (That part of the world IS called a rain-forest after all...)

And... don't drink too much coffee like the natives (locals) there tend to. (How many coffee companies are from/have headquarters in Seattle?!?)

Greetings everyone,

I realized late last night that I haven't updated anyone with what I've been up to (and why the Cobra's thread is behind right now).

Over the last 7 days, I made the decision to move out of my (shared) residence of the last year, and live with my brother on his couch until I found out about the position I was recently interviewed on.

While this shouldn't effect my internet, I've been a little busy with the move out, so I'm behind. I should be cought up by tomorrow at the latest.

Well, since its been 25 days since my last post on this thread, I thought I should update it really quick.

I've heard no word on the position I was a finalist for earlier this month, and my attempts to contact the guy who interviewed me and said he would get back to me have failed, so I'm assuming that's a no go for now.

Of course I've applied for over 10 other positions in the meantime, but I have not heard anything about them yet either.

Currently I'm visiting my parents, and continuing my consulting services.

Unfortinatly, I'm on dial-up, which (suprise) isn't working that well once again.

Good news is I'm through my birthday, and my grandfathers 80th birthday, so things have finally settled down.

I'll keep posting updates, but in general I wanted to let my two game threads know that I'm still working on them, but there are levels of inititive that all characters can undertake.

The main thing is to be imagative.

Due to a family emergency, I was unavailable this weekend.

I will continue to have some problems getting to post, and development on the ARCTech that I was working on may get pushed back (yet again...) Sorry.

More details later.

Returning back to Riverton. Still having a slight family emergancy, but as everyone knows I've been much more active right now. We'll see how dial-up treats me again.

BTW, Cobras, if you don't have your posts up soon, more people will die! MAH, HA, HA, Ha, Ha, ha, ha, ha (evil laughter TM Shadow)

Well everyone, today's an interesting day.

I've been trying to get signed on for the last three days in good old Riverton* and have found that with family here, that's almost impossible.

Good news is I'm on my way out the door in 30 minutes for Cheyenne, WY for an interview tomorrow morning... That is if the roads open up to let me get there!

So anyway, you might see a post from me later tonight, or you might not.

From Cheyenne, its to Laramie, WY to finish a project and turn in both an Invoice and final project documentation, and then on to Denver, CO to visit more family and to continue the ever fun full-time job search.

By the way, because I don't think I've mentioned it here, a full-time position does not mean that Lanji Information Technologies, LLC is going on hiatus. A full-time position is part of my on-going strategy to learn enought to turn LIT into a full time consulting group who specializes in Web Site IT Support and Services.

Cobras: Another simple resolution will be put up before I leave. Main reason is after reviewing everything, no serious actions have taken place yet that need a full resolution.

As those of you watching the staff board and other boards today know, I'm not feeling well at all. Its been a long weekend, and I was working my hardest to get the Cobra's post out the door. My plan was to sleep some and get it going...

Which I'm still trying my best to get done right now. More news later.

Hey no worries. Get some rest. I'd rather have a healthy GM/Admin/Owner who gets plenty of sleep. We'll still be there when you're ready to post results.

Just another update.

I've been told that life as a contractor will be interesting. One week you'll have nothing and wonder how you'll feed yourself...

And then there are weeks like this one has been.

4 jobs, 11 tasks, 2 upgrades, 3 very infected computers, and 2 proposals that I need to get in the mail ASAP...

Needless to say, I just finally posted for the Cobras mainly because of Rally Cry...

Now for the Rally Cry post!

I understand EXACLY how the contractor life goes. (Not because I am one, but because my business deals with them directly)

Do everything you can do with those jobs, Lanji... hopefully they'll tide ya over until the next wave rolls in.
