Happy B Day, MRC!
Plenty of fond memories, none I would put ahead of the other.

Happy Birthday MRC!!!!

It will be 4 years this November 13th that I've been playing Bishop Andrews of the Falcon Soundforce. It's been a crazy 4 years considering maybe 4 weeks have pasted in gametime

My favorite in character moment had to be Bishop being awarded the Medal of Honor. It was completely unexpected and I was so happy I shouted and jumped out of my chair

My favorite out of character memory is of dragging my wife over to a friend's house to use his DSL connection for the Awards Ceremony because I thought that exactly at 7pm (or whenever it was scheduled to start) that the entire community was going to show up for a mass posting spree and I didn't want to get left behind using a dial-up connection. Since then she's always asked me how many days it's been since that ceremony. As the month's went by she started laughing at me more and more for the speed at which we play Oh well, it's still fun anyways!

I've met quite a few good people here on this site over the years and wouldn't trade those opportunities for anything. This is a fantastic place that draws fantastic people to its membership. I hope we're still around when my children are old enough to join

EDIT: Oh yeah, Green Team rules!!!!

Ha, that's funny I was thinking the same thing. Imagine if your kid, Araruin and Misintard's son and my daughter are all here years from now roleplaying.

Would that qualify us to refer to the MRC as a dynasty?

Funny it should be mentioned about the speed of gameplay... I've had one character-turn NPC-turn character again that has been 'off the set' for about 8 or 9 months. He's returned now. In all that time, only 3 days of game time has passed...

At this rate, the 'MRC dynasties' that are mentioned above would have children playing characters in their same squadron as their parents!!!

(Don't forget about Bleu and Cobalt. Didn't they meet here in the MRC first before getting married? Wouldn't they constitute a MRC dynasty slightly more?)

Wow! Has it been this long!?

Seems like years ago ('97) that I joined a little rpg function that went through hell and back, split and formed two sites(MRC & AMRN) and became what we have today. I took a short sabatical and came back to the *cough* better of the two boards and have continued on until today. I feel old. *shrugs* Oh well!

Happy Anniversary MRC!

Hmm... do I have any favorite moments? Too many to list alot of them happened before the split. But some of my all time recent favorites was with Shadow's Evil Faction, and Sabre's Zentraedi uprising thread. I've always loved being the bad guy. Hope that we get that going again or we get another "bad guy" thread going!

Congrads on reaching six years. With luck, there'll be at least that many more.

Jinxing is good but lets see if we can outwit the GMs for another 6 years and stay alive. ^.^

I think my most memorable time in the MRC was Drake and Lahkbir (Lucky) Sitting down in the flight mechanics' office and Drake telling Lucky wy he was selected for his (Albeit very temporary) stint in the Angels... He was basically telling lucky what he was looking for (Unknown to Drake, Drake had described the Elintsabre to a T) and conveuing hopes that lucky could figure it out

It was also known as Drake's famous "I'm a Dummy" Speech

Big thing is though that we have survived this long and with a little luck (and a whole lotta teamwork) we can keep on trucking

Here's to a continued long and happy life
