Erm… how could the Protocultures know that Zentraedi and human were breeding, roughly 10,000 years before it happened?

Of course they used a magic mirror!!=)
Nah, thats what I get for speculating without thinking I guess =). But on the other hand who knows what went on in their minds. Perhaps they anticipated that zentraedi and humans would eventually breed. perhaps that was part of their plan?

/Mr.F - is just rambling madly about things he doesn't know s#&/ about =)

I know this is a stretch, but what if the Zolans were created by either 1)scientists of the Supervisor Army (who wouldn't want interbreeding) or 2)They just evolved naturally.

Either way, we'll still shoot you after we've said "freeze". Then again, anyone in their right mind would shoot Basara no matter what the conversation at had was.

I'll tell you why the Zolan women have breasts.

They wouldn't look right drawn without them.

We all know that. We just try to figure out a way to say just that without really saying it. Beccause it isnt usable when roleplaying.

Example: Scientist guy explaining for a large audience the biology of Zolans. "Well you see, from my years of study I have been able to solve the genetic properties of the zolan women. Their genetic codeing suggest that they wouldnt look right if they didnt have breasts."

/Mr.F - Is quite sure that guy wouldnt get any more funding for his research

Maybe they only have one set of breasts because they only have one or two children at a time. Dogs can have upto eight (I think) puppies, so they naturally have more than one set. see?

Anyone conssider that many marsupials only have one child and would not have more than one set of breasts anyway?

But all marsupials I know of have two sets, the first is really small, for the first stage of the baby's development, it's size is very small because the baby don't need that much in cuantity, and a second larger set for the later stage of development.
They need two sets because those two are totally diferent glands, the secrete different kinds of milk(if you can call it milk).
However these are two sets of different glands, doesn't mean they can or canot have more than one set of each.

Aply these to zolans and you can say that the breast you see are for the later stage with the first glands hidden in the pouch and can't be noticed because of the small size of those glands.

lets look at the images its ovious that they have breast are the niples exposed or are they covered by the pouch.

so the baby affter being born is placed in the pouch and lives between the mothers breast.

the only official naked shot in Macross 7 dynimite is of the litle girl and can you see niples.(not that I've paused the tape to check. umm):lol

Now look at the nasty places you made me go.

All marsupials have both sets of niples(to avoid saying tits ) inside the pouch. But the fact zolans have breast may be because the larger size of them make them similar to human breasts.

...And thank god the creative team didn't decided to make them egg layer mammals. Can you imaging the discusion that would be up to ?

I'll take your word for the nudity in Macross 7 Dynamite.

I can't make it through the horrid songs/singing and soundforce crap to watch it.

All I have to say is I am glad that with Macross 0 they've gotten back to their roots. Real naked animated women and buttkicking missile shooting fights.

All of this are asumptions taken from Earth marsupials. And the lack of external nipples, is something I have to take word for, cause I haven't seen much of M7D.
It's all asumption because no one truly knows how an 'alien' marsupial would evolve into the antropomorphic figure zolans have. And all the fisiologic changes that would have to be considered.

Anyhow, good luck trying to guess how many nipples your PC has . Or think of it as having a biological built-in bra .

Seems this "nipple" discussion is getting out of hand

But what I wounder what kind of culture these Zolans has.

Is their culture same as the humans?

And does they know what "love" is... I mean does they behave like human when it comes to emotions such as love and hat?

That's a good question.
I haven't seen much of M7D, but they apear to have the same basic feelingd humans do.
How those feelings interact with their cultural background? That, I really have no idea.

I just saw an old movie in cable, It was about a tribe of werewolfs, but instead of having the wolf part, thay had a part that was "tazmanian tiger", there was a scene were one of the women had a baby, It had really bad fx, but the idea of how zolans may look like naked could be something like that. Don't know if anyone has seen it though.
The tazmanian tiger, by the way, is the only carnivore marsupial that lived to the age of modern men and is now extinct .

I have seen M7d and the culture is basically the same as human they have families lived in houses. They have there own singers

One weird thing is in town they seem to broadcast radio programs all the time. Mostly a soap opera about the relation ship of a human and a zolan. you hear this in the back ground alot.

note: this is actualy were you here about the no children from human zolan relationships.

Actually there is some who claim to have sighted the Thylicine (Tasmanian Tiger) so it may not be extinct. Scientists (who are at the same time fending off protests groups) are in the process of harvest viable DNA in order to attempt to clone a Thylicine from the few examples they have in glass jars.

The Thylicine may still be alive, and if not it might be reborn.
