I'm back in the states, though I've heard from my contacts in Nagoya that their area is pretty-well okay. The damage is most extreme in the north (Sendai-area) but there has been shaking all the way down past Tokyo.

I've noticed that Google Wave has a problem of building latency the longer it is used in a group environment personally. Especially when multiple people are typing and each thread of the wave is live broadcasting.

you're not wrong. I really wanted wave to be the answer, but as-is, it's too bulky ...

Inix, there will be an MRC, though it may change shape, if this turns out to be functionally acceptable.

For now, though, we're just looking at it to see if we can use it and for what that would be.

So far, it seems very well integrated. The presence of "forums" seems to be kind of downplayed (probably because it's really just an add-on). If you could push the forum-list toward the front-page, or perhaps some kind of setting ...

Everything's runnin pretty smooth, Stryfe. Been a LOT of changes since you were last here. Quite a few of the guys from way-back-when are still here so you're back amongst friends again.

aww... misconceptions... foiled again!

wave is as real-time as any forum or email is, except that if you happen to be viewing it at the time, you can see what's being written.

ok, I'm in. :)

The whole setup seems awfully like a few email clients i've seen, but the features integrated are above and beyond.

I really like the Dicelink system, though not sure I really like the method. I think i'd rather have some kind of extension either embedded into the Wave, or added to ...

This is very interesting, both in that it can supplement our play style and that it can replace it.

if someone has an invite they can send, I'd love to try it out.

I think it'd take an industrial strength word filter to clean up my exact feelings regarding the end of Endless Eight (that a paradox?). They could have done some creative fast-forwarding and done the whole thing in ONE episode, instead of eight.

There's "Jumping the Shark" and then.... I think we ...

As someone also following this garbage, I am similarly very disappointed. The whole scenario could have been summed up in one (MAYBE two) episodes, but they've gone on and on with the whole thing for (what is it) 7 weeks? We're no closer to figuring out the situation than the characters are...

This ...

I'm expecting a lot of phasing and instancing to handle the "consequences." which might put a real rift in the game, since those in a particular Phase or instance can only interact with those in the same place...

As for KoTOR II, I must say that I was disappointed with the ending as well. However ...

I, too, will be giving it a shot.

From what the devs have said, you're not getting Kotor 3: online... you're getting KotOR: 3-9: online. And there won't be any saving-going-back-and-checking-the-other-results this time. I have no idea what sort of results decisions get ya, but I like the idea of ...

yes, yes, trailer awesome. :D

The SW:TOR website has a few other videos which show developmental in-game footage. It's not too bad, but you're right, you won't be as bad-ass as the trailer above makes you want to look :(

I'm keeping a close eye on this game. Finally something to replace WoW ;)

it'd probably be best to contact the GM directly, or, if you're rather indifferent, post your character proposal on the Joining board and see who takes the bait. 8)
