UNSM and UNI Campaign Page

UNI refers to UN Intelligence and UNSM refers to UN Marines.

The UN Intelligence service is a highly secretive organization within the larger UN Armed Forces (UNAF) that routinely gathers and shares information for the other branches of the UNAF to use. Recently, UNI has started creating its own, secret, highly trained and well equipped units for use on extremely high priority tasks that may or may not be in the UN Government's best interests.

Currently, there is only one UNI squadron that is active in the MRC. Refer to its individual forums for further details:

UN Spacy Marines

The UN Spacy Marines, ground attack specialists combining traditional infantry with mechanized infantry (Destroids) and air support (VF and other aerospace craft,) in addition to being routinely assigned to internal ship security in non-UNSM ships of the fleet.

Currently, there are no active UNSM games in the MRC. At its peak, there were three. Refer to their individual forums for further details:

  • VMFA-235 Death Angels
  • 203rd Marines "Roughnecks" Note: the Roughnecks stories continue in a non-MRC site. Their ongoing adventures are sometimes refered to in the Death Angels game.
  • Salamanders Currently a defunt squadron in the MRC.

History of the UNSM & UNI Campaign

(Incomplete)

???The UNSM campaign was part of the original gaming sight that spawned the MRC.???

During it's time in the MRC, the UNSM campaign saw some highs and lows in the number of campaigns and players it enjoys. In early to mid 2004, one of the campaigns remaining two games transferred to another, unnamed Macross related role-playing site.

Recently, the Death Angels game has wound down with the current players transferring to the newly created UNI game: the Black Wraiths.

At present, the UNSM campaign is on the back burner, waiting for renewed player and GM interest.
