What should we keep?

Postby araruin » Mon Mar 20, 2006 5:15 am

As you can see, we have a new General Discussion board. The old board is taking up way too much server space, so we are going to delete the entire board.

If there are any old discussions that you think should be kept around, this is the place to let us know.

Yeah, I'm sure that anything that needed to be brought up again would be fine as a new thread, In my humble, etc...

Nuke it all.

Anything we need to dicuss we can revisit with a fresh conversation. It'll encourage discussion and and foster new friendships etc.

I agree with Sabre, it would be better to delete all of it.

Sadly, there are some people who will be less likely to post about something if there is already a thread about, regardless of how old the discussion is. We can thank several over zealous message, who have gone overboard in their attempts to kill pointless thread necromancy (Someone posts to pad their post count) & duplicate threads of the same topic.

I say we keep the name General Discussion and scrap the rest.

Funeral Scene

It was a gloomy morning on the boards, the flamers were flaming, the players were playing, and the whole general discussion came to watch as the Old General Disscussion Board was put down

"We are gathered here today......

DNS Error
php error

Yep...scrap it all. That error screen might go away with it. We can only hope.

Since the general concensus is either scrap it or I don't care, I'm not even going to wait two weeks. The deadline is this Sunday.

Are threads in Chambers and Announcements also going to experience a clean flush?

A lot of the threads are completely out of date about events and players that are no long party to the website and it is doubtful that anyone is going to be going back and reading them...

It is my intention to refresh chambers after we finish the General Discussion. I've always been told that when you have too many projects, just do one thing at a time until you're done.
