Macross 30

I found a place that still had a copy of the novel version of Macross 30 for sale. I bought me a copy. I spent the last few weeks translating and localizing the Prologue, all twenty-some-odd pages of it.

There is the link. So, I am going to ask you guys to read it and give me a 'Yea or Nay' on whether or not you want me to do the rest of it. 'Cause it's 346 pages long. I don't want to spend a year working on it if no one is going to read it.


As a reminder, it was the Canon entry for the franchise's 30th Anniversary. The basic synopsis was that temporal anomalies located on the planet Ouroboros were puling sources of Anima Spiritia (and those around them) through time to the planet's surface. The main characters from Zero through Frontier have band together with the M30 peeps to solve the mystery of the Protoculture Ruins in order to get back to their own time. Except for Basara, who while there, refused to help anyone because he's a dick.

Wasn't easy to find a new copy of a book made in 2013 and whose print run was limited to the opposite side of the planet.

Updated through to the first Section Break of Chapter 1. About ten pages or so.

Completed Chapter 1.

The rest of the chapters are 40-70 pages each. I doubt that anyone is reading it, but regardless don't expect an update anytime soon. As you have undoubtedly noticed, it is taking most of my writing time as is and it's pretty slow going. Well, the straight translation is quick; it's the localization part that takes for-bloody-ever.



I also added in to the opening post some of the art that has been shown up to this point. Not the Dramatis Personae or location images as they have a lot of dialogue on them. The location images are on the planet's wiki page, anyway:
